Access the AOL Firewall Software

To access the AOL Firewall software:
1. On the Windows® desktop, double-click the AOL Safety and Security Center icon. If the icon is not present, click the Windows Start button, select Programs or All Programs, then click AOL Safety and Security Center to launch the AOL Safety and Security Center software.
2. From the list on the left side of the AOL Safety and Security Center window, click the Firewall option.

Disable Your Firewall in the AOL Safety and Security Center Software

To disable your firewall in the AOL Safety and Security Center software:
1. Access the AOL Firewall software. If the AOL Firewall software has not been disabled, on the right side of the AOL Safety and Security Center window, you will see a message indicating that your firewall is on.
2. Click the Turn Off link. A message window will be displayed, alerting you that your firewall has been disabled.
3. Click the OK button.

Note: To turn your firewall back on, click the Turn On link, then click the OK button.
