just wanna add some other workarounds and this is based on experience...Üworkaround 3:- access router page>advanced wireless settings>disable WPS(wireless protected setup)workaround 4:- try updating the wlan card driverworkaround 5:- manually add a profile for the wireless connection(xp or vista)encountered the same situation using systems that are running on xp and vista...that's all so far!thanks!<HR tabIndex=-1> From: Delgado, Brian

A few tips on how to connect to a NETGEAR WGR614v8 router using a VISTA computer:Symptom:System is able to detect the wireless network but when you associate, a window comes up asking for username or domain log-in of some sort.Reason:Issue seems to be related to the router firmware.Work around 1:
<LI class=MsoNormal style="mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1">Access router page > Go to wireless settings > Choose no security or WPA only.
- Access router main page > Go to Vista Settings > Uncheck both options
Work around 2:
- Have the customer update the router firmware to fix wireless issue.
